Your Fee

The facility fee includes charges for the operating room, recovery room, and most other services provided during your stay. Co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance will be collected the day of surgery.

Please inform us if your insurance policy designates pathology/laboratory services from a specific provider.

Special supplies and equipment (lasers, implants, and corneal tissue) may generate additional charges.

Pre-Op Information

Please notify your doctor if you have any changes in your health status. This may include cough, cold, fever, rashes, pregnancy, infections or other complaints.

Do NOT EAT, DRINK or CHEW ANYTHING after midnight the night before your surgery, unless instructed by your doctor. This includes gum, mints, candy and chewing tobacco.

Taking any medications?

Please notify your doctor of any prescription drugs, herbs, vitamins and non-prescription drugs you are currently taking.

Are you working?

Recovery time varies with each patient and type of surgery. Please discuss the amount of time needed off work with your doctor.

The Day Before

Please take a bath or shower before your surgery to reduce the chance of infection.

One last reminder:   If time allows, a representative from the surgery center will call to verify your benefits and inform you of financial obligations. If you have any questions regarding these obligations, please call us at (214) 259-4800.

The Day of Surgery - A Final Checklist

During the registration process you will be asked to verify your billing and insurance information. This will include signing a financial agreement. You will need to bring the following documents:

  • Current Driver's License or photo ID
  • Current insurance ID card
  • Co-pay, co-insurance, deductible payment - We take cash, cashier’s checks, money orders, personal checks up made to Central Point Surgery Center up to $500, Mastercard, Visa, AMEX and Discover.
  • Financing is available, please apply at lease 48 hours before surgery.

Do make certain that you have some means of transportation that does NOT require you to drive after your surgery. Without some means of getting home your surgery may be cancelled. We advise that you not drive for 24 hours after your surgical procedure, so please make sure that you have someone available to drive you home. Your responsible adult that will be driving you home is required to remain in the lobby areas during your surgical procedure.

Do be comfortable in your choice of clothing and shoes.

Do make sure you bring the necessary forms and review your specific instructions.

Do continue your regular medication regimen unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.

Don't drink or smoke prior to surgery. For a specific time to discontinue drinking and smoking, ask your doctor.

Don't wear jewelry of any kind into surgery. This includes any piercings and/or earrings.

Don't wear any kind of facial creams or makeup. This includes dark colored nail polish.

If you wear contact lenses or glasses, please bring a case to put them in during surgery.
